Therefore, verily I say unto you, lift up your voices unto this people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you shall not be confounded before men; For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say. --D & C 100:5-6

BI..BI..BINYAG!! -WEEK 71

Well it's been another GREAT WEEK out here in Guinobatan!! We got to end off the week the best way ever!! With A BAPTISM!! We were super excited to finally baptize brother Romar Jay!! And what made it even more fun, we got to have two 8 yr old kids baptized with him!! So me and my comp and the ward were very happy this last week!! But not just because of baptisms... we had just a great week of work this week! ALOT OF FINDING... hahaha we are really doing finding every day, but this week we had some funny experiences!!

So the first fun experience was when we were out tracting and we went to one house that was pretty big and usually it's kinda scary going to the big houses but I like trying them cause sometimes they have "air conditioning"! hahaha  Well we went to this house, and tracted it and turns out it is one of the ladys part of the government out here haha... she was super nice and invited us in and we started talking.  Turns out her son lived in Utah for a little while so that was cool but then we got to teach them a little lesson that went good! Then as we were leaving she gave us a souvenir... a coffee mug hahaha and then she invited us to her "fiesta" on Saturday, so right after the baptism we got to go get some lunch over there haha and it was funny cause alot of our investigators over there were at the house also so that was kinda fun! But there was just alot of drinking and smoking and stuff but we went by ate...then took off hahaha but she is really nice!!
Another one of them was a half drunk guy that I started talking to on the side of the road.. So we started talking and then we sat down and were just talking about his life and his wife is dead and now he's just kinda chilling drinking sometimes but not doing too much...then he brings up the question "how do I change my life?" BAM what an inspired question by a drunk guy! haha Well I testified to him of the gospel of Jesus Christ and he had enough sense to actually understand me, and he was pretty interested and he told us to come to his house and teach him and his extended family that lives by him! haha So we have a return appointment over there this week! See how he is now! Hopefully not drunk!!
We had alot of other normal missionary stuff happen this week also but nothing else very fun!! We are still struggling to help out brother Bernardo come back to church! He really wants to, but is busy with work and he's still struggling with the word of wisdom. But he's working on it!

Today we had THE LAST ZONE ACTIVITY IN THE LEGAZPI MISSION! So it was kinda fun to be together having fun for the last time!
Next week is transfer day so we'll see if I'm staying here or heading out next week!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! KINDA EARLY!! HEHEHE!!

THE GRIND! -WEEK 70

Sooo it’s been another week! I feel like I always say this, but the weeks are FLYING BY! Time flys when your having fun right??

Well this week probably went by fast because it was soo GREAT! We found a ton of new investigators this week a lot we haven’t really started teaching yet and seen any progression but we found this one family this week named the DY family (pronunced D) they are soo cool.  I think all the missionaries will know what I’m saying when you can just feel like someone is gonna progress when you first meet them. Well that’s how this family was.  We met the father and we taught him a quick little overview of our lessons and mainly felt like teaching a little about the BOOK OF MORMON so that became our focus and we invited him to read and pray about it and he was determined to do it!  We haven’t gone back yet but we are going back tomorrow so I’ll let you know how it goes! hahaha pray for him!!

So I don’t have very much time but I just want to share some quick lil stories from this week that were fun! So I’m sure you guys know about the whole #LightTheWorld well we have lil pass along cards and we have been challenged to give alot of those out all the time by just opening our mouths and its BEEN SOO FUNN! I love this mission because I’m becoming more open to talk to strangers haha I’m still scared but it makes it a little bit easier when I know I have something soo important to share! haha Well this week I’ve had some experiences giving cards out to people while riding jeepneys or tricys or while buying from one of my favorite food stands! haha I try giving them out to everyone! And alot of the responses are “we're catholic" I love saying to them that whatever religion we are, this isn’t just about religion... this is about us serving them! And about sharing the good news of Christ's birth and how it can change our lives!

Well rain’s coming down out of nowhere and the powers probably about to go out so I just wanna send this out before I go!!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

CONGRATS TO COURT FOR GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEK!! I LOVE YOU COURT!!

GOD IS OMNISCIENT!! -WEEK 69

Sooo what a GREAT WEEK!! Once again!! I feel like I’m writing these letters everyday the weeks are going wayy too fast!! Time needs to slow down!!

Well this week was awesome because we got to have a conference with Elder Bowen the area president of the Philippines right now and it was soo cool!! Most of his talk was about becoming exactly obedient missionaries and how we can start to see miracles in this mission!! But how he taught it first he taught about what the rules were and how we can better follow them.. then he taught like a doctrine part.. which was about the oath and covenant of the priesthood the abrahamic covenant and about our baptismal covenant! I’m so sorry I can’t explain everything he talked about in this little email, but basically what he taught about is where we truly come from and how when we know who we really are, we change how we act! Then he taught about the plan of salvation and how GOD is omniscient! And he knows everything that we can become in this life and the next, and he wants us to do all we can to get all of those blessings but if we don’t do everything we are supposed to in this life... we won’t get those promised blessings!! It was a huge eye opener for me and a lot of the guys out here in our mission!! Excited to see what kind of things will start happening out here!!

OTHER THAN THAT!! We had a good week teaching some investigators and less actives!! I LOVE THIS ONE GUY OUT HERE! He’s a inactive! But the weird part is he has a son on a mission hahaha well he promised he would come to church when his son gets home, but we FINALLY GOT HIM TO COME TO CHURCH!! Now he’s come 3 times! He is still struggling with the word of wisdom but he’s working on sacrificing that to be able to keep the commandments!! Soo add brother Bernardo to your prayers to help him!
THEN we have sister Rosel Bolanos she is a investigator who is soo cool she comes to church every week and she wants to be baptized soo bad but her husband wont let her! Well last Saturday we taught her and she asked us if we could fast for her husband so we did last Sunday and we’ll see what happens with her husband, but I would love to have you guys join in prayers for sister Rosel’s husband to soften his heart!! THANK YOU!!
Also just a lil update on ROMAR JAY! The kid thats gonna get baptized next week! He’s doing great as always!! I think sister Monellia is more excited for the baptism then her son is hahaha but they’re both excited! Sister Monellia is super excited for February to be baptized!

EVERYONE IS A MISSIONARY ALERT!!
So cool story!! Last week a couple out here meet a family by talking to them just while walking around and they set a time that missionaries could teach them and after 2 lessons they came to church and are really searching for the truth!! So never be afraid to talk to people about the gospel! BE A LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD!  We have such a great opportunity this December to show our faith thru our works and be a light to other people!! I KNOW THAT WE CAN ALL BE A LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD!! And people will want to come unto that light!!

SOO GO OUT AND SERVE!!

My light is but a little one,
My light of faith and prayer;
But lo! it glows like God's great sun,
For it was lighted there.
Shine on, shine on, shine on bright and clear;
Shine on, shine on now the day is here.

I may not hide my little light;
The lord has told me so.
'Tis given me to keep in sight,
That all may see it glow.
Shine on, shine on, shine on bright and clear;
Shine on, shine on now the day is here.
