Therefore, verily I say unto you, lift up your voices unto this people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you shall not be confounded before men; For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say. --D & C 100:5-6

REPENT ALL YE ENDS OF THE EARTH! -WEEK 12

hehehe jk I'm not gonna call all of you to repentance right now!

Soo how is everyone? I love hearing from you all you guys! you are the best fans!!

So much missionary work going down right now its crazy soo many people going on missions and soo many people out right now! I was just thinking about how many of our friends are out and the other day I realized that I have a friend serving on every continent! That's nuts!! That's just proof that the church is true and that Heavenly Father wants all of His children to come unto Him and find happiness! Not just happiness... ETERNAL HAPPINESS!!

This week I was sooo grateful that families are ETERNAL! Being on a mission you really realize how much you love your family and the blessing of eternal families becomes your greatest blessing in life!!
Well last Monday a tree fell on a tricycle like 30 seconds in front of us!! that was pretty crazy!!  THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME, I COULD HAVE DIED!! JK  the guy was fine, but it was really close to us!!

umm Wednesday we had exchanges!! It was my first exchange!! It was really cool. We went to a place that was 2 hours away!! So it was alot of traveling in a van that doesn't have enough leg room for an American lol!! But it was cool I got to see a really pretty sunset!! And I learned that I love grape jam!! lol I never tried it before until then!! OHH AND I LOVE BANANAS NOW!! or in tagalog sagging!! haha I buy some everytime that I see them on our way to meals!

Well it's time to get off but don't worry nothing cool happened the rest of the week!

Well I love you all, and all your prayers help me soo much.  They're sometimes the only thing getting me thru the day!!

mahal na mahal ko kayo lahat!!
LOVE ELDER BAKER

HAKUNA MATATA!!

I have a fam'ly here on earth.
They are so good to me.
I want to share my life with them
through all eternity.
Fam'lies can be together forever
Through Heav'nly Father's plan.
I always want to be with my own family,
And the Lord has shown me how I can.
The Lord has shown me how I can.

TARA NA! -WEEK 11

TARA NA! is lets go in tagalog!

well so last week after I emailed we went back to the apartment and found out that we didnt have keys!!  so we were locked out lol! but I climbed up the house and snuck in a window!! (picture included) lol so that was fun!  and then that night we had a family home teaching thing and played a fun game with baby powder (picture also included) then tuesday we had to travel to Legazpi!  A 4 hour boat ride and then a lot of time in a van! lol  it was fun we got to go the mall in Legazpi and then just chilled and walked around the city! then wednesday we had trainers and trainees training!  WHICH MEANT I GOT TO SEE MY AMERICAN FRIENDS!!!  it was so nice to talk to americans and talk about american stuff lol!!  and then after trainers traing we went to the pier to go back to Masbate and there wasnt a boat leaving till 10 at night so we waited until then.  it was like 3 hours!! and then the boat ride was 4 hours, so we got home at like 3:30 lol so we went to bed at like 4 am and then got up at 6:30 lol I wasn't that tired thru out the day tho!! Heavenly Father blessed me with strength!!!

so on friday we had a lesson with an investigator and it was our first lesson with her. she was a referral and at the end of the lesson we invited her to pray and she was struggling thru the prayer and then as she was about to say amen she started going again and started praying for her family and started crying and then started praying for forgiveness for her past!!  the spirit was sooo strong!  I mean during the prayer I had no idea what she was saying but the spirit was telling me it was good!! lol!  but then after that lesson we went to a recent convert and I shared a scripture and I decided to share about 1Nephi 3:7 and focused on the part that says we don't have any commandments given to us unless God knows that we can accomplish them!  so I was telling her this and she is a single mom of 3 girls!  and she started crying talking about how hard it has been for her!  and I was telling her that we are never alone and we can always pray for strength from Heavenly Father!!  and she was crying and saying some jibberish tagalog that I dont understand BUT!  I do understand the spirit, and he told me that she was happy that I shared that scripture with her!!

well yesterday we went to Uson which is like an hour away and it was soooo beautiful there, sooo many trees it was soo cool!
and then this morning we played basketball with our district it was fun!! now I'm here hehehe!

I hope everyone is doing good and reading the scriptures everyday!!  and reading conference talks!!  we are sooo blessed to have modern day revelation to guide us!!!  and we need to listen to it!!

OHHH WAIT, SO I FOUND THIS QUOTE BY JOSEPH FIELDING SMITH AND IT'S GREAT!!
"I know that the work I have been called to do is the work of God or I would not stay here one minute, no, I would not have left home.  But I know that our happiness is dependant upon my faithfulness while I am here.   I should be willing to do this much for the love of mankind when our Savior could suffer as He did for us... I am in the hands of our Heavenly Father and He will watch over me and protect me if I do His will.  And He will be with you while I am away and watch over you and protect you in all things."

well I love you all and I know Heavenly Father is watching over you all while I am here!!!

mahal na mahal kita lahat!!

And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.  -- 1 Nephi 3:7

I USED TOILET PAPER! -WEEK 10

Ok so to start off, I used toilet paper for the first time!!  So yes all the myths and joking around about using my hand is 1000 percent true!!  But cool parable about it!  So wiping with your hand is like repenting!  You might not want to go down there with your hand just like you might not want to go and repent of your sins and confess to a priesthood leader!  But it is 100 precent necessary, cause if you don't go down there with your hand and clean it all out your gonna have stains on your underwear... and if you don't go and confess your not gonna be completely clean!  Well, there's my lesson for the week!  lol

So this week we had an earthquake at 10:30 at night and I was going down stairs to turn the lights off and as I was going up the stairs it happened and we have 2 metal garage doors down stairs and they started shaking and it sounded like gun shots!  So I thought I was getting shot at, so I jumped and then ran up the stairs and jumped in bed!!  I had no idea it was an earthquake till the next morning when we got a text asking if we felt the earthquake, and my comp said oh that's what that noise was... I thought you fell hahahha!!

Ok so I've never been more excited for conference before in my life and I loved it!  We didn't get to see saturday sessions but the other ones were great!!  I really loved in Elder Bednars talk he quoted, I think Elder Wirthlin,  but he said "come what may, and love it" and that's how the mission has been for me!!  I've had many hard things come up and also some gross and weird things butttt I just decided to love it!!  I'm not gonna be able to wipe with my hand in  2 years, so why not enjoy it di ba??

We had a baptism on Thursday and my companion took a pic of me during a quick talk on baptism so there's a pic of me in live action!  It's so great having baptisms, it makes me soo happy!  Like one of the conference talks said " look at every person thru heavenly fathers eyes... and we can only do that thru the spirit" and during baptisms you really get to do that, and it's truly amazing seeing a person come unto christ!!!

Last thing sooo in Devin G Durrant's talk he invited everyone to ponderize a scripture.  I invite you all to do it too!!  My scripture this week is Alma 26:12  I don't have time to type it up but it's great.  I encourage you to look it up and then choose your own!!

ps." Don't just go thru the motions" Elder Oaks quote!   Keep being the best examples to the whole world!!  And keep the light in your eye shining like President Monson said!

MASTER BAKER -WEEK 9

Well first off, the subject!  Instead of PANADERO,  they call me MASTER BAKER sorry dad I think mine is better!!

Ok so this last week.  So on Monday last week we gave a blessing to an old man and then we came and emailed, and then on Tuesday we found out he had leukemia and then on Wednesday he died.  And I was really depressed thinking the blessing didn't work but my companion pointed out to me that it is better that he die now instead of having to live longer with leukemia and he was also like paralyzed and blind so ya, it was bad!  So my companion pointed out that that was the power of the priesthood blessing, that he would either be healed, or put out of his misery and his families misery of having to watch him struggle everyday.  k then Wednesday we took a trip to THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!  lol this whole island is the middle of nowhere, but really it was a 4 hour trike and bus ride out there, and then a 30 minute motorcycle ride into the deep parts of the jungle!!  Oh ya, and on our way out there I pooped for the first time here in Masbate!  lol ya I know like a whole week!  And we had to stop at a school and I was like 1 second away from pooping my pants!
Lol but it was all worth it, cause the investigator out there is GOLDEN!  She is READY to be baptised!!  Thursday I don't really remember too much but we taught an investigator who came to church this week!  ummm Friday we did a baptismal interview with the girl who got married last week, and she's getting baptised this coming Saturday!  SATURDAY WE HAD MY FIRST BAPTISM!!!  I didn't do it but still it was soo cool! Now Sunday! Well yesterday we did not watch conference yet we had a district conference, so all the members on Masbate Island were there!  It was a WHOPPING 200 people! LOL ya not that many members but still ALL great people!!  Then after 7 and a half hours of conference,  we went straight to a blessing..... at the top of a mountain!  lol it was a 30 minute hike up in the rain!  And then on he way down stopped at the Villiamors family area!  They all live together up in this mountain place it's sweet!  And while we were there we gave another blessing!  It's also fast Sunday we haven't eaten forever!!!  Well now today I'm here just chillin!  I love you all!

ps. if you're ever having a bad day read a couple hymns they're the best!
