Therefore, verily I say unto you, lift up your voices unto this people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you shall not be confounded before men; For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say. --D & C 100:5-6

#EveryMemberAMissionary -WEEK 49

YOOO WHAT UP FAM AND FRIENDS!! I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July!! No one blew up their arm right?? I bet Marqus and Brady did...
Well we had a pretty great 4th hahaha we had a zone activity so ya that was fun. Sadly I didn't bring my wardrobe of American flag apparel so I just had to wear normal clothes... but I still remembered America in my heart!! And I'm happy to say that America was represented well early this morning as me and Elder Pullicar took on two pinoys in a nice game of 2 on 2 basketball and we wrecked them!! #MERICA!!

But like other than showing pinoys how us Americans roll we actually did some spiritual stuff and worked haha!! This week was actually a great week! So of course we have been working with Loribell one of our progressing investigators and actually we only got 1 lesson last week cause she was busy, but we got to teach her with her mom who was visiting!! She wasn't interested buttt Loribell still is and she attended church this week!! THEN ON WEDNESDAY we had a member give us a referral of a family that used to be taught but idk what happened cause they're golden investigators! So we went there, and taught the first lesson and they knew all the answers like better than some members do!! haha and We taught them twice and then they attended church on Sunday too!! There is 3 of them that came to church! The oldest sister Kristina and the brother Jomel and sister Kyla!! We're gonna start working with them alot, because they said they've been to church like 20 times, but never got baptized, soo we'll see what the problem was there!!

I LOVE YOU GUYS ALL!  JUST KEEP DOING WHAT WE DO AS MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH AND BECOME A LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD!!  I read that the best missionary work a member can do is show their faith by the choices they make!!

"Live your life so that those who don't know Him but know you will come to know Him because of you"  TROOF!! #EveryMemberAMissionary

LOVE ELDER BAKER

HAKUNA MATATA!!

The LIGAO Zone
He says every Sunday they get fed like KINGS
and even more days of the week...He loves it!
We love the families that feed our missionaries all over the world 💞

 Elder Baker's American Flag Apparel!
(left at home, but always loved)

I'm trying to be like Jesus;
I'm following in his ways.
I'm trying to love as he did,
in all that I do and say.
At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice,
But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers,
"Love one another as Jesus love you.
Try to show kindness in all that you do.
Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought,
For these are the things Jesus taught."

TIYAGA TIYAGA! -WEEK 47

So tiyaga means kind of like patience or like just continue! But it's pronounced like chugga chugga like a train hahaha I thought that was cool!! But really as a missionary and just as normal people that's all we really have to do is chug thru the hard times and just wait for the day when we will be made glorious! I read somewhere in the New Testament this last week about the parable of like the metal and how it has to go thru the refiners fire to become a beautiful piece of metal, and it's just like us how can't we be made into something great if we don't suffer the greatest trials!!
I RESPECT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE HARDEST TRIALS... you know why... because those are the people with the STRONGEST FAITH!! God knows as their faith builds, he needs to keep testing them with harder trials! but just keep chugging!! And know God loves you!

This last week was absoulutely crazy!!! SIKE!!! It was actually a completely normal week we just worked and worked hahaha but we got to go to our roommates baptism so like that was funn hahaha!!
BUT this week we've been working with one of our progressing investigators, her name is Loribell!! She is wayy cool her brother used to get taught, but now he's always busy with school and work. So we've been trying to start her with the lessons and she immediatley progressed!! She read until 1 Nephi chapter 15 in one day haha and she always has a ton of questions it's great!! And then she attended church this last Sunday!! Thank goodness... we've been having a drought with investigators coming to church haha but we're hoping for a lot this next week.  We've got some pretty interested people I'll let you know how they go next week so I'm not too excited haha!!

But that's about it for this week take a look at some of the photos those are fun! The pic of the rice and noodles just made me laugh how they have to eat rice with EVERYTHING!! Then the other pics just some fun stuff hahaha!! Sunset is for Court haha she was mad I didn't have any sunset pics haha! First time I've seen one my whole mish the trees always blocked them in my last area!!

LOVE ELDER BAKER
HAKUNA MATATA!!

And I will bring the third part through the fire
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:
I will say, It is my people: and they shall say,
The Lord is my God.

PPINES UPDATE FROM YOURS TRULY -WEEK 35

Well I wish I had some cool story like I had last week!! But you know that stuff like just doesn't happen everyday lol!! Well ya actually this week we didn't have anything crazy happen... we just kinda went and taught people all week lol like what else are we supposed to as missionaries! HAHAHA TOTALLY KIDDING!  Well this last week we really taught lessons, but it was alot better than just teaching, because one of the families we were teaching this last week was a part member family and the non-member is the dad.  And so of couse we really want to get him to be a member also so that we can get that family sealed in the temple!!  So they can recieve all the blessings of the gospel!!  It's also really sad to see the mom practically crying because she wants her husband to become a member!!  The problem is that he is only at the house for like 1 week and now he went back to work far away!!

Well another person we were focusing on was ROBINHO!!  Our investigator getting baptized!!  So we went over there alot this week!!  AND WE HAD THE BAPTISM ON SATURDAY!! AHHH IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER!! HE'S LITERALLY LIKE MY FAVORITE LIL KID EVER!  HE'S LIKE A LIL BROTHER I NEVER HAD OR LIKE A SON I HAVEN'T HAD YET... well it was hilarious when he got baptized and came out of the water he looked me in the eyes and just screamed out WOOOHOOO!!  I don't know if it was cause it was cold or he just felt like the people in the people in the Book of Mormon that felt the spirit so strong that they shouted for joy!!!  lol Well, that was an amazing experience baptizing him!!  And I'm soo excited for him to eventually be serving a mission!!  And I'll be able to see the fruits of my labors for years to come!!

Well I haven't seen general conference yet ... soo everyone send me some of your favs from conference and I'll send some of my favs when I watch it!!  Well I'll share you something I found this last week!!  This little powerful verse I found is found in Mark 11:22 it says "and Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God." YUP THATS IT!! SHORT SIMPLE POWERFUL AND YOU CAN APPLY IT ANYWAY YOU WANT ANY SITUATION YOU WANT AND AT ANYTIME!!  JUST ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FUTURE IS AS BRIGHT AS YOUR FAITH SOO MAKE YOUR FUTURE BRIGHT BY GAINING MORE FAITH!!  I LOVE YOU ALL AND KEEP PRESSING FORWARD!!  AND PAGTITIS HANGANG WAKAS!!

LOVE ELDER BAKER
HAKUNA MATATA!!

More holiness give me,
More strivings within,
More patience in suffering,
More sorrow for sin,
More faith in my Savior,
More sense of his care,
More joy in his service,
More purpose in prayer.

SUPER TYPHOON (of emotions and physical) -WEEK 19

A note we received from President and Sister Guanzon through Facebook:   There is a typhoon approaching Legazpi. We want to notify the parents and families so they will not worry. "All missionaries were evacuated specifically those whose apartments that are near the sea. We are all safe." The missionaries in Legazpi will be moved to either the mission home or to the church for a few days. Sister Guanzon is out getting groceries and supplies. If your missionaries are emailing you, be sure to tell them to obey the evacuation and do exactly like they are asked to do.

A private note from Elder Baker to let us know he was safe:  Hello!!  I don't know if you know about the super typhoon that is here right now, but I just want to let you know I'm safe.  I came to Legazpi yesterday.  We got on the last boat for Legazpi cause right after, they shut down the boats because of the storm!  One of the guys on Masbate is supposed to leave to go home too, so he's trying to get here but probably won't for a couple days!!  I'll probably be here until Saturday or Sunday!!

Sooo right now we are under like signal 5 or something for a danger of a super typhoon!! And it's supposed to be like absolutely crazy strong!!  So if everyone could PLEASE SEND ALL YOUR PRAYERS TO THE PEOPLE HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!! Well that's the physical super typhoon... the emotional typhoon is that I'm going to be training!!  From trainee to trainer!  I can barely even speak Tagalog!!  It's gonna be a real test of my faith and patience!!  Well Elder Irabon had his last week in the mission field this week!!  And it was a pretty crazy week because he's the branch president we were trying to get the whole ward ready to be handed over to the new guy and we had to throw a christmas party of course!!  And that was really stressful to find enough food for everyone!!  We ended up with like 50 pounds of adobo!!  It still wasn't enough!!  We had 150 people show up to our party and the 4 moms that were dishing out the food didn't get to eat any!!  We were only expecting to have 100 people!!  It was great tho to have sooo many less active members and investigators show up!!  And then our attendance at church the next day jumped up to 95!!  We went from 60 to 95!! in one week!!  Let's hope we can keep it that steady and keep growing and eventually we're gonna have a ward in mobo!!!  Also we're getting 2 more missionaries moving into our apartment this transfer!!  So our area is gonna be split!!  Which will really help the branch grow!!

PLEASE!!! SEND YOUR PRAYERS TO THE PEOPLE HERE!!  THAT'S WHATS GONNA HELP THEM STAY THE MOST SAFE AND MAYBE THEIR HEARTS WILL BE OPENED TO OUR MESSAGE!!

First off I'm sorry about no letter last week!! But, sometimes the mtc can be boring.
BUTTT this week was sweet!!! So, last Sunday was sweet I got to see some friends at the temple love you guys!  And then on Tuesday we had a devotional and guess who was speaking!?  ELDER OAKS!! It was sweet, we got to hear from him!!  And it was broadcasted to all the other mtcs and my face was on it, hehe, hope all my boys out around the world got to see my cute face!! and Lukers!
Well then on Wednesday Abby Giles and Stockton Huish came in to my zone and its soo funn to see some familiar faces!!  But that's pretty much the extent of cool stuff that happened this week in the mtc!!
lol kidding, but this week was awesome cause I had felt like I was feeling like I was horrible at the language and teaching, but my teacher pulled me out and told me that I was one of the better teachers!! So that was wayyy nice to hear!!

It's OFFICIAL.......He's ELDER BAKER 8.4.15

We went to the Stake Offices where President Hiatt
set Dillon apart as a Full-time Missionary
for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
He's official......  He's now a missionary!
He was given an amazing blessing,
I know that he will be able to go and serve the Lord
in the Philippines and do just what is needed there.
He was blessed to be able to get along well with
his companions and others around him.  He always
does anyways, but I loved this part of the blessing so much.
He was blessed with the gift of tounges.  He will need this.
His language is tough.  But, I know with diligence and
patience and with faith, it will come.
I'm so proud of Dillon and his choice to
serve a mission for our church.....
now get out there and find those golden opportunities!

After we came home, he had a giant group of his friends
gather at our house to say their good-byes.
It was so great to see the love and support for him.
I know they will continue to support him
throughout his mission.
SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF THEM!

Best Frousins!  Cousin/Friends!

We love this great group of friends!!

Just a quick 2 years.....  Don't forget to write!
The Lord needs valiant servants,
To do his work in the latter day,
Who follow the teachings of Jesus
And serve his people in a loving way.
I will be his servant
And keep my covenants valiantly.
I'll stand for truth, I'll stand for right.
The Lord can depend on me.
